On the evening of Sunday, July 28, five citizens were arrested in Cojedes in flagrante for participating in a practice known as “guarimba”. The procedure was carried out by officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) through the CZGNB-32 of Cojedes and Citizen Security Organizations (OSC) of the entity, an action executed within the framework of Operation Republic “Presidential Election 2024”.
According to the report of Zodi 34 Cojedes, during the operation the subjects were seized three (03) tires, three (03) liters of gasoline and fifteen (15) burning tires, which represented a serious risk to the inhabitants, motivated by the presence of fire in a fuel area.
These citizens were caught blocking the road and burning tires, a practice known as “guarimba.” The incident occurred on Trunk Road 005, near the Cedico service station, in the municipality of Tinaquillo.
