The investigating prosecutor explosion and collapse of a house occurred in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Devoto, which left one dead and one injuredcharged a Metrogas operator and four others from the Cobra company with “culpable havoc”, after collecting evidence, including firefighters at the scene, the Public Prosecutor’s Office reported on Monday.
The case was labeled as guilty havocwhich implies that -according to the prosecution- the fire “would have been caused by lack of skill, imprudence or carelessness” and for which One Metrogas operator and four from the Cobra company were charged Maintenance of electricity, gas and water distribution networks.
This was determined by the intervening prosecutor, Lorraine San Marcoin charge of the Criminal, Misdemeanor and Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office 19, after collecting evidence at the scene and “talking to the Fire Department personnel at the scene”, although “the results of the first tests are still awaited”.
In turn, San Marco is waiting for the Metrogas company to finish working on the site, in order to ensure that the conditions are met and to reestablish the electricity supply.

From the Metrogas press area, the company issued a statement in which they specified that “regarding the communication sent to the media by the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) of the City of Buenos Aires, we are not aware that there had been charges any about our employee. The investigation is still ongoing, we will not comment in the meantime, “they explained.
Likewise, the Claims Division of the City Police was summoned, which continues to work in the area to establish the causes of the explosion, and the criminalistics area to obtain traces.
They also requested the Metrogas and Edesur companies “all reports of complaints received for gas losses, power outages and other contingencies, and the action protocol for such cases.”

The fire in the Villa Devoto neighborhood occurred on Saturday after 12 in a house located on Pedro Morán and Quevedo, where two operators from the Metrogas company were working due to a gas leak.
For unknown reasons, there was a strong explosion that caused the collapse of the house located in that place and the fire of a Metrogas truck along with two other vehicles that were parked in the area.
Inside the building, in addition, the firefighters found a lifeless body among the rubble with signs of burns, in the living room area, while a company operator was injured.
As part of the investigation, the prosecution ordered the autopsy of the person who died after the fire.
Likewise, the kidnapping of said company’s truck and four other affected cars were requested, to carry out expertise, the cameras in the area and the kidnapping of the clothes of the injured Metrogas operator.
Finally, the prosecutor summoned the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAME) to receive “testimonial statement to the neighbors and provide them with psychological support,” they detailed.
