Five killed during confrontation in Petare

Five subjects were killed after a confrontation occurred in Zone 3 of the José Félix Rivas neighborhood, Petare, Sucre municipality (Miranda), according to police sources.

This incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when members of the Cotorro gang ambushed a commission from the Motorized Division of the Bolivarian National Police.

The uniformed men reacted to the attack managing to shoot down five subjects whose identity is in the process of being verified.

At the site of the confrontation, officials seized five pistols and a fragmentary grenade that was thrown by the subjects at the commission and did not explode.

The procedure was notified to the Public Ministry.
