Five injured by a collapse in a work under the Miter railway

The five meter high slab was being filled with concrete when it collapsed.

A landslide at a construction site under the Miter Railroad tracks took place this Tuesday at noon in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano and Five people had to be taken to hospital as a result of the injuries sustainedsources from the Government of the City of Buenos Aires reported.

The accident occurred around 1 p.m. Mendoza at 1700 when a five meter high slab was being filled with concrete.

After the fact, five workers had to be transferred with multiple injuries to different health centers: three of them were sent to Hospital Fernández and two to Hospital Pirovanoreported Alberto Crescenti, head of SAME.

In addition, he specified that “no person was trapped in the collapse” and they had to attend to five more people who suffered “nervous breakdowns.”

The rest of the workers were evacuated and gathered at an emergency point.

Crescenti also reported that the viaduct where the train runs is “intact” and that the damage occurred to the formworkwhere the company ViaViva is carrying out a work that seeks to “integrate all areas in a space crossed by technology, social, cultural, gastronomic and entertainment experiences and access to the most modern services in the City”, according to what they say from their website.

Finally, it was reported that the personnel of the 13 A Neighborhood Police Station of the City Police participated in the operation.
