Five citizens, including a woman, were arrested for incurring acts of sabotage to the auxiliary system of the National Electric Service (SEN), extraction of strategic material, association for crime and illicit carrier of firearm.
The apprehended were surprised in flagrance by officials of the Directorate of Intelligence and Strategy of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) that were carrying out field work in the Simón Bolívar neighborhood, in Acarigua.
According to the police report, the detainees were identified as Giovanni Javier Medina Colmenarez, 22 years old; Juan Javier Sequera Torrez of 19; Keivin Omar Yepez Hernández, 21; Daniel Jesús Alvarado Torrealba of 26; and Raelismar Thaís Romero, 26.
During the procedure they seized nine aluminum porch bases, 20 kilos of pieces of aluminum electrical conductors and 20 meters from Guaya of electric aluminum driver without coating.
They were also confiscated by other evidence of criminal interest, including 20 pieces of coated electric aluminum cable, a Terva brand revolver, 38 caliber, a cell phone and a emery, the UNB reported.
The procedure was notified to the First Prosecutor’s Office of the Portuguese Public Ministry, with special competence in strategic material.
