Five cell phones delivered to the Electoral Court to enable signature collection software

The software that will be used to collect signatures that support the revocation of the mandate of the mayor of the capital district, José Luis Fábrega, was installed in the first five cell phones for this purpose.

According to the lawyer, Roberto Díaz, proponent of the citizen initiative, the software was installed today to carry out some tests before they begin collecting signatures on April 20, in this way the program will be installed on other devices.

Díaz said that since he is the proponent of the recall, he must supply these first telephone numbers to the Electoral Court and pay $36 for each cell phone that is delivered to the Electoral Court and the software is installed.

He added that the first thing is to “see if they perform and work the same way, then another five more will be contributed, plus some groups that want to contribute cell phones to also be collectors, but we must remember that not just anyone can be, they have to be properly trained by the Electoral Court because they have to assume a series of responsibilities.”

The delivery of these 5 pieces of equipment supposes an expense of $180 for Díaz and when he delivers the other 5 cell phones he will have to pay the same amount, for a total of $360.

“The proponent, which in this case is me, has to provide the first equipment, then groups or associations that want to also participate can contribute equipment and the software will be installed, we must remember that you also have to pay for a license that is B/ .36.00 for each device that is delivered to the Court, these devices must be new, (the license) is valid for one year, even these devices can be used in another type of signature collection, “he said.
