Argentine artist Fito Páez, who tonight received the Lifetime Achievement Award 2021 (for Musical Excellence) in the week of the 22nd. delivery of the Latin Grammy, celebrated “being part of the great Argentine artistic music laboratory”.
“By letting me into their rehearsal rooms, Litto Nebbia, Luis Alberto Spinetta and Charly García, who were three mentors on behalf of the invention of modern Argentine and American music, they make me feel part of a link in the entire American treasure that was created and invented throughout the continent ”, Páez expressed receiving the award at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas.
The 58-year-old musician, filmmaker and writer from Rosario, who thanks to this distinction he met again with the also laureate Spanish troubadour Joaquín Sabina (both makers in 1998 of the album “Intimate Enemies”, a premonitory title of a bond that broke out), celebrated the award by subscribing to a cultural tradition.
