Fishing sector achieved a milestone by participating in the National Council of Sovereignty and Peace

As a “milestone” of the fishing sector, the member of this group described, Reimirys Marvalbeing able to recently participate in the National Council for Sovereignty and Peacean instance that reaffirms the national unity, the defense of the sovereignty and peace of Venezuela in the face of the recent threats of Yankee imperialism against the nation in the waters of the Caribbean Sea.

“The fishing and aquaculture people made their own adhesion to the sectoral National Council for Sovereignty and Peace. That is, they settled in the states in a mega boat caravan in Sucre, La Guaira, Falcón, Aragua, Nueva Esparta and, in this way, we made a mega adhesion to this Council,” said Marval during his participation in the program Pulse which transmits Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

In this sense, he indicated that the Caribbean Sea represents life itself for the fishing people. “He has given us everything, sustenance and guarantees us the sovereignty of the country because it is part of our Exclusive Economic Zone. What does a fisherman do without the sea? nothing. For us, the sea is everything, which is why the fisherman becomes alarmed and goes to protect the Caribbean Sea, because it is our vital area,” he expressed.

Reimirys Marval emphasized that the fishing people have not hesitated to enlist in the Bolivarian National Militia (MNB) in defense of the sovereignty and peace of Venezuela. “Fishermen and fisherwomen are the guardians of the Caribbean Sea,” he stressed.

Finally, the member of the fishing sector before the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, Reimirys Marval, stated that they are not afraid to defend the maritime waters that belong to Venezuela, while pointing out now more than ever that they have appropriated the sense of belonging of the Venezuelan coasts and seas.
