New data have appeared that lead us to continue investigating
the case of Pío López Obrador, affirmed the head of the Special Prosecutor for Electoral Crimes (Fisel), José Agustín Ortiz Pinchetti.
The prosecutor told the day, telegraphically
that the file in which Pío López Obrador is investigated for alleged electoral crimes will continue to be integrated, after the seventh district court in amparo matters urged Fisel on Thursday to inform if it would prosecute the case or the non-exercise is decreed criminal action for lack of elements.
The Fisel had a period of 24 hours to inform the court of the definition that the federal Public Ministry, Héctor Sánchez Zaldívar, had taken, after months ago it reported the existence of a project in which it was considered not to prosecute the brother of President López Obrador .
However, for months the General Legal Directorate for Electoral Crimes did not resolve the proposal made by the Public Ministry agent, and after the court ordered to report within 24 hours, it is now known that the case will continue to be investigated. .
In this way, the investigation file FED/Fepade/Fepade-CDMX/0000380/2020 remains in force, which was initiated against Pío López Obrador, after a video was published on the Internet where he appears, accompanied by David León Romero, former National Coordinator of Civil Protection, in a restaurant, receiving paper bags that presumably contained money.
