First public tenders will be launched on April 10

The Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck, announced that the government will launch, by April 10, the first block of public tenders authorized for federal administration.

Esther Dweck pointed out that there is a forecast in this year’s budget for holding the tenders, which will prioritize bodies with the greatest staff deficit.

“Several areas are struggling. It was a period of much dismantling, practically without any competition”, he said, in an interview with the vehicles of the Brazil Communications Company (EBC).

By the end of the year, according to the minister, three blocks of public tenders should be announced for recomposition of personnel. At the moment, only an emergency selection was authorized for the National Mining Agency.

Salary readjustment

Regarding the granting of a 9% linear salary adjustment to federal employees, Esther Dweck explained that it is necessary for the National Congress to approve an adjustment of headings in the 2023 Budget Law.

Last Friday (31), President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sent a bill to Parliament with the amendment. The government’s expectation is that the approval of the proposal will take place later this month.

“As soon as it is approved, the government can forward the readjustment of the servers. The goal, we have been talking to the leaders in Congress, is that we have a swift approval of this project, so that it is approved in April and the readjustment of the servers can take effect from May”, said the minister in an interview with the program The Voice of Brazil.

The salary negotiation, agreed with around 100 unions, also foresees an increase of R$ 200 in food aid for the servers. According to the minister, the additional amount will already be deposited in the May payment.

Since 2016, most categories of federal civil servants have not had salary increases. In February, the ministry resumed the National Permanent Negotiation Table with federal civil servants, which will serve to discuss salary recovery and career restructuring. The desk was first installed in 2013.
