First meeting of the Special Chamber of the Political-Administrative instance of the TSJ

The First Special Room of the Political-Administrative instance of the Supreme justice court (TSJ), held the first meeting with the magistrates that comprise it. The information was provided by the Judiciary on its website, where it indicates that this specialized section was sworn in before the Plenary Chamber by the president of the country’s highest court, magistrate Gladys María Gutiérrez Alvarado.

The instance is made up of the president of the Political-Administrative Chamber, magistrate Malaquías Gil Rodríguez, and by the substitute magistrates Eulalia Guerrero Rivero and Emilio Ramos González, and was created by Resolution No. 2022-0008, dated December 14, 2022. .

The work of the First Special Chamber of the Political-Administrative Chamber begins with the knowledge of a set of files that were assigned by the president of the aforementioned judicial instance in accordance with article 5 of the aforementioned Resolution No. 2022-0008, according to the which “the president of the Political-Administrative Chamber, with the support of the secretary, will proceed to assign the cases that must be heard by the First Special Chamber.”

As established in Article 9 of the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Special Chambers of the TSJ are made up of a magistrate from the respective Chamber and by two judges chosen by the Plenary Chamber from the list of substitute judicial authorities.

The creation of this Special Chamber is part of the efforts carried out by the Board of Directors of the TSJ to materialize a Judicial Revolution in the administration of justice in the country, and to comply with the provisions of the Strategic Plan of the Venezuelan Judiciary.
