The First Lady of the Republic of Panama, Yazmín Colón de Cortizo confirmed through her Twitter account that she tested positive for the PCR test to detect Covid-19.
“I want to inform the public that after performing a PCR test, the result was positive for Covid-19. I then proceed with the corresponding isolation protocol. I feel good and I have the complete vaccination schedule. Vaccines save lives!”, reported the First Lady.
This Monday afternoon, President Laurentino Cortizo participated virtually in the meeting with the PanavaC-19 team, through which the application of pediatric vaccines for circuits 8-1 and 8-9 was coordinated; and third anticovid dose in circuits 2-2, 2-4, 4-3, 4-5, 5-1, 5-2, 8-1, 8-6, 9-1 and 9-3.
Previously, the president had been exposed to a possible contagion, after the vice president, José Gabriel Carrizo, and some ministers of the Cabinet Council tested positive for Covid-19, however, this was negative when the PCR test was performed.
I want to inform the public that after taking a PCR test I have tested positive for COVID-19. I then proceed with the corresponding isolation protocol. I feel good and I have the complete vaccination schedule. Vaccines save lives!
