The opposition political party Primero Justicia demanded this Monday the “resignation and immediate departure of Nicolás Maduro”, in addition to proposing a roadmap for the democratic transition in Venezuela, based on nine key points that, he assures, collect “what the country demands” and what Venezuelans aspire to build.
A document released by the organization indicates that among the main demands is the release of political prisoners and guarantees for the safe return of exiles, as well as the full recognition of the opposition leadership. arising from the process of July 28, 2024, with Edmundo González as elected president and María Corina Machado as leader of the Unitary Platform.

The organization also proposes the installation of a government of national unity, “broad, plural and with citizen prominence,” which would allow progress towards a real democratic transition.
In economic and social matters, the party proposes the creation of a national fund to recover family income, the implementation of an urgent plan to care for the vulnerable population and the relaunch of the oil industry with participation of the national and international private sector.
It also demands “extraordinary measures to guarantee property in Venezuela, especially land ownership in urban and rural communities,” and the definition of a progressive electoral calendar, accompanied by the international community, that guarantees free and transparent elections at all levels.
