The first Health Promotion and Orientation Center for the Insured will be installed in the San Felipe Neri Market, as was revealed by the director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Enrique Lau, and the capital’s mayor, José Luis Fábrega, during a tour made in the area to see the progress of this work.
According to Fábrega, this center will be possible thanks to an agreement signed by the Mayor’s Office of Panama and the CSS, which will make the Market the best opportunity to improve people’s quality of life.
“The San Felipe Neri will be joined by the Pacora Market, as well as those of Pueblo Nuevo, Chilibre, Mayor Díaz, December 24 and Tocumen,” he explained.
For the Mayor, this is the ideal complement that will strengthen the objective of offering cheap and quality food through Rimmu.
In addition, he added that the pharmacy space in each market will be completely free. “We are working together for the capital’s population. The client requests his medications, makes his purchases and when finished, picks up his medications”.
Mayor Fábrega reiterated that they will soon be inaugurating the Pacora Peripheral Market, where at the time there will also be a CSS pharmacy.
This center, which will be an innovation of the CSS administration, contemplates a preventive health promotion program and primary care, through advice in areas such as physical conditions, nutrition and physiotherapy, and a pharmacy at the service of the insured.
