The inhabitants of the annex of Canocota of the district of Chivay in the province of Arequipa Caylloma form the first forestry brigade of volunteers against fires, considering that in this province constant fires occur by burning weeds.
The community members called hawk eyes were trained by the National Forestry and Wildlife Service (Serfor) and the Provincial Municipality of Caylloma to fight any fires that may arise.

The talks were focused on prevention to avoid risks and answerao reaction to the presence of fire.
Being the first fire brigade, the volunteers, between men and women received security uniforms such as cases, gloves, fire extinguishers, water backpacks, lamps, first aid kit, in order to equip them and protect them against possible accidents.
So far this year there have been 10 forest fires in the provinces of the region and if accidents of this type occur, the district municipalities are the first called to act to control the flames and if they do not supply supplies, the provincial municipalities intervene and later the Government Arequipa Region.
