I Study and Work registrations expire today
The I Study and Work Program aims to strengthen the link between education and work for young students, between 16 and 20 years old, through access to a first formal work experience in the public sphere.
Registration is scheduled to take place until today, Wednesday, October 22, through the website.
“This call, I Study and Work, is back. In this case it includes young people between 16 and 20 years old. It targets those who are studying so that they can have their first paid work experience in the public sphere” informed the Professor Yisela Araujo.
“Registrations are taken until today. The requirements are very basic: being included in the established range, being attending high school, UTU, any of the Universities or non-formal institutions, for example, CECAP or INEFOP courses that exceed 240 hours” detailed to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL the Broad Front Representative for Cerro Largo.
“We always disseminated it within the scope of MIDES, of the INJU, and now with the whole issue of the budget debate we were missing the dissemination. This is information for young people to know and for families to know as well. We ask that the gurises register because today everyone uses or has access to computer tools” he stated.
“Registration is done at inscription.mtss.gub.uy. If you don’t remember, search on Google like I Study and Work 2025 and all the information will appear there and take you to the registration site” he assured.
“Many times we go to public institutions – BROU, UTE, ANTEL – and we see young people who are doing their first internship” held.
“It is a very good opportunity because apart from the work experience, they receive remuneration. In addition, the time spent studying is not affected and it encourages them to continue studying” Araujo highlighted.
BUDGET DEBATE
In a Chamber where the Government does not have a majority, the Representative for Cerro Largo shared the task during the voting process with Pablo Beck and Gustavo Merlo.
“For me, a very important experience. In addition, it is essential that one knows the different demands of the department to work on them beforehand” considered.
“This is a budget that had 2024 as its baseline, that is, nothing less than the previous one but to add to it” held.
“We worked very positively with the other Political Parties on the reallocation of resources, as money was moved from one place to another seeking to mainly address the demands” projection. “The reassignments were very important for UDELAR and for UTEC, they are never enough, if we speak in the sense of what is needed, understanding it as an investment for our present and for our future” he pointed out.
In the debate and on the table were the priorities of the Frente Amplio Government: childhood and adolescence and child poverty. “We in Cerro Largo are going to have more educational centers with Extended Time. Obviously not everything is based on canteens, but it is basic when we know that we do have hungry children, learning is impossible” Representative Yisela Araujo pointed out.
