This afternoon the Association of Clinical Laboratory Technicians Assistants (Analac) and authorities of the Social Security Fund (CSS) reached a firm agreement with which they hope that the strike decreed on April 4 will come to an end.

The general secretary of the Social Security Fund, Edwin Salamín, assured that with this agreement they hope that the technicians will lift the strike.

“On our part, we especially exhort them and all the other CSS officials belonging to these unions to effectively lay down their points of force because we have really made a great effort at the table to reach an agreement,” Salamín said. .

For his part, the secretary general in charge of the Ministry of Health, Alessandro Ganci, said that with this agreement justice has been done to the citizens since they have a calendar for compliance with these agreements and also a calendar so that those who were affected can receive the attention and recover the appointments that due to the strike were not given

Meanwhile, Luis Bonilla, president of Analac, assured that this agreement is “practically” what he had requested and therefore they feel satisfied. He stressed that an extraordinary assembly must be held with the collegiate to be able to decree the lifting of the strike.

The assistant clinical laboratory technicians decreed the strike to demand a salary adjustment that they hoped would take effect in the first quarter of 2022.
