The Fire Department is currently working to extinguish the flames of a fire in a commercial building on Avenida Marcos Paulo Gonçalves, in Guarulhos, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. At least five vehicles are on site. The call was received by the Fire Department at 11 am.
According to the Fire Department, the teams have already managed to confine the fire to a part of the terrain without risk of propagation. There are no victims.
This is the third fire in the city in a week. On May 1, a massive fire destroyed the entire 3,000 square meter area of a plastics factory, . The fire started around 4:40 pm and was brought under control in the early hours of Monday (2). There were no casualties.
On April 27, a shed near the International Airport was hit by flames and 90 firefighters were needed to contain the fire, which was brought under control around 11:20 pm. One home was affected, but there were no injuries.
