In the midst of the third wave of the pandemic in the country, Firefighters of Peru received 200 thousand KN95 masks from the Romero Group with the purpose that they can be better protected by forming the first line of battle against COVID-19.
The delivery was made this morning by means of the Romero Foundation in the General Command of the Fire Department in San Isidro and was thanked by the institution through the general commander of the Volunteer Firefighters of PeruLuis Antonio Ponce La Jara.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 3,359 volunteer firefighters who have been infected with Covid-19, of which 3,021 have been discharged and 85, with much regret, we have lost. Thanks to this donation we will be able to reinforce the protection of our troops in this third wave,” said Ponce de La Jara.
In this context, the president of the National Pro-Firefighters Board of Peru, Arturo Woodman, explained that The delivery will cover for five months the protection needs of nearly 15,000 troops that make up this institution.
Finally, Dionisio Romero Paoletti, president of the Board of Directors of the Romero Foundation, highlighted the importance of the institution for the countryespecially in the context of the pandemic.
“Without a doubt, the Volunteer Firefighters of Peru, since the beginning of the pandemic, have taken care of us and our families. In line with this commitment is that we give them these masks and help protect them at the peak of this third wave. We understand that this donation will serve to protect them for several months. The Romero Group is a family from Piura that has always been committed to the families of Peru”, said Romero Paoletti.
