The Fire Department follows the search for the victims of a wreck occurred on Monday night (14) in Sepetiba Bay, near the port of Itaguaí, Rio Metropolitan Region.
According to the corporation, Six people were on board the moment the vessel turned into the sea. Two people managed to swim to Porto and asked for help.
Until now, A body was rescued from the sea and referred to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) for identification. Three other people remain missing.
The firefighters’ operation has 20 military personnel from the Guaratiba, Sepetiba and Itaguaí search barracks with lifeguards, vessels and divers, with the support of inflatable boats, aquatic motorcycles, aircraft and drone.
According to firefighters, the work continues uninterrupted to locate the missing.
