This Sunday a large fire was recorded on the Pan-American Highway at Sector Divino Niño and Kilometer 7, for which officials from the Caracas Fire Department (CBC) moved to the area.
Commander General Pablo Palacios published some images of the event on his Instagram social network account.
He specified that “in the place there is a fire in a mountainous terrain, with nearby houses, with medium-high vegetation and it has 2 sides.”
For this reason, the troops, together with National Civil Protection officials, “proceeded to carry out the work of extinguishing the flames with rudimentary material; in the area that is difficult to access and in the lower part of the mountain,” said the officer.
He explained that “fire suppression vehicles are being fought to eliminate the risk and spread to surrounding areas.”
