Firefighters from the La Matanza district of Buenos Aires extinguished this Sunday afternoon a fire in a plastic and cardboard warehouse in the town of La Tablada, which did not cause personal damage, sources from that rescue service informed Télam.
“Several crews participated from this morning in the operation to combat the flames, without having to lament fatalities or injuries,” Fire sources added.
The fire had been unleashed since the early hours in a plastic and cardboard warehouse located between Catriel and Chiclana streets, in the town of La Tablada.
The fire chief of La MatanzaDaniel Bodego, indicated that “the block was evacuated as a precaution” and that the fire occurred “on the ground floor of the warehouse.”
In this regard, he noted that “The neighbors of the place warned that there was a person inside the establishment, although in the end no fatalities or injuries were reported.”
Likewise, he remarked that when the igneous focus began “the factory was closed”.
“Work was carried out on the site until late in the afternoon, it was successfully controlled, while the neighbors who initially evacuated have already returned to their respective homes.added the sources to Télam.
The smoke from the fire could also be visible in some neighborhoods of the city of Buenos Aires.
