The corporation Cimexwhich manages the operation of most gas stations in Cuba, reported on a fire occurred in one of its facilities located in the western province of Sagebrush.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the area of the Servicentro track on March 13, according to a statement published by the entity on its Facebook profile, and reviewed by official means.
In its note, the entity clarifies that the incident occurred after being fitted with B-83 gasoline fuel to a private vehicle of Lada mechanics.
In addition, it specifies that the driver was preparing to leave the gas station area when a fire broke out in the engine of the aforementioned vehicle due to technical malfunctions in it.
According to reports, the incident was quelled by the rapid action of the workers with the help of the means of extinction, which prevented its spread. As a result, no damage to the facility or human or material losses were reported.
For its part, the local newspaper of Artemisa, when reporting the event, assured that the victim was “a blue car, known as almendrones”, and pointed out that the event had been “magnified with bad intentions on social networks”.
