Madrid Spain.- According to videos shared on social networks, during the night of this Sunday residents of the province of Guantánamo set fire to an establishment of the state gastronomic chain DITÚ, presumably as a protest against the constant blackouts.
In one of the recordings shared through Facebook by the artist Saúl Manuel, a woman is heard saying: “That’s what gives the power strip.”
At the time of the recording, firefighters can be seen at the scene and a large number of people around.
“During this morning a DITÚ burned in fire in the province of Guantánamo. The people are tired of so much abuse,” he said in Twitter Extreme Journalism.
When publishing videos of the incident, Periodismo Extremo specified that the DITÚ was on Calle Paseo corner Calixto García.
“Everything indicates that it was intentional to protest the blackouts,” he added.

Last Friday, the Cuban Attorney General’s Office, warning that it was investigating the recent popular protests that have spread throughout the country, stated that the protesters “will receive the corresponding criminal legal response.”
Last week The neighborhoods of Jagüey Grande, Santa Cruz del Sur, Boca de Camarioca, Altamira and Caibarién, among others, joined in cacerolazos in opposition to the regime and the unsustainable situation in the country.
“Freedom”, “turn on the current”, “Down with Canel!”, “Down with the full bellies”, “Change!”, “The people, united, will never be defeated”, shouted the Cubans during the demonstrations.
