On the afternoon of Wednesday, December 28, they reported a fire in one of the plants of the Petromonagas mixed company, in the state of Anzoátegui. It was controlled by firefighters, four sources said. This is the second incident that has been recorded in less than a week at facilities of the state-owned PDVSA, reported Reuters.
The fire, where there were no injuries, occurred in a coking plant of the Petromonagas upgrader, which was stopped, the sources consulted added. The rest of the units would be operational.

A few days ago, exactly on the night of Monday, December 26, it wasA large-scale fire occurred at the Cardón Refinery of the Paraguaná Refining Complex, in the Falcón state, one of the most important oil installations in the country. PDVSA firefighters intervened in that incident and managed to put it out.
Last May there was also a similar fire in one of the treatment lagoons of this same refinery and the Minister of Oil, Tareck El Aissami, reported then that it was controlled and operations continued “absolutely normal”.
