On this Sunday afternoon, a fire broke out in the east of the country, which affected traffic on national route 101 at kilometer 26,500. The National Fire Department is working on the scene.

Following this incident, the National Directorate of Highway Police diverted traffic to Montevideo along El Gallo and Los Aromos roads.

The unit also informed its official Twitter account that the circulation path to Pando is enabled.

The spokesperson for the National Highway Police Directorate, Vanesa Briozzo, told El Observador that, except for this situation, traffic has been developing normally this Sunday. “We have not had major accidents,” he said.

The fire broke out this afternoon about 17 hours.
