A fire registered in the facilities of the Antarctic Camaronera company in the parish of the San Francisco Municipality Zulia, generated citizen shock and the rapid action of the fire bodies.
In the middle of the Sunday of Resurrection, in the San Miguel sector of the municipality located south of the Zulian capital, the Municipal Fire Department, in collaboration with other security agencies, Civil Protection, attended the emergency, before the sinister reported at the facilities of the Camaronera Antarctic company.
Only material damage was reported due to the immediate and joint action of the San Francisco Fire Department, Maracaibo, La Cañada de Urdaneta and Petróleos de Venezuela, as reported, the mayor of the San Francisco municipality, Gustavo Fernández.
Fernández also said that they are directly available to the communities “three ambulances, two mobile clinics, eight doctors and the nursing team.”
Currently, investigations are being carried out to determine the causes that originated the fire.
The Camaronera company
The company, dedicated to the export of white shrimp to markets from the United States, Asia and Europe, is one of the large employment generators in the municipality and interrelated, with the fishing universe of the western coast of Lake Maracaibo, dedicated to the fishing of the small crustacean.
Already in 2021, according to registration of the Foreign Trade Office, this company had certified up to 115 containers for export.
