A fire broke out on Tuesday night in the electrical room of the Libertador Simón Bolívar station in La Rinconada of the Ezequiel Zamora I Railway System, in Caracas.
The incident caused alarm among users and workers of the railway system. Fortunately, the quick action of the Caracas Fire Department, who arrived at the scene with a truck and an ambulance, allowed them to control the situation and prevent the flames from spreading to other areas of the station.
It is important to note that, despite the incident, the operation of trains from La Rinconada station to Valles del Tuy and vice versa was not affected. However, electrical services within the station remain suspended while repair work is carried out and the damage caused by the fire is assessed.
