In the afternoon of this Wednesday, February 22, three houses were burned in the La Guairita sector in the Plaza municipality of Miranda state.
The information was released by Mayor Freddy Rodríguez during a tour of the affected sector, in the company of security agencies, councilors, as well as prevention and risk officials.
Rodríguez pointed out that the fire was caused by vegetation and solid waste that was dumped illegally in the sector.
He stressed that fortunately no human losses were recorded. “We had three homes burned with total loss due to that fact,” he added.
“We appreciate the presence of M/G Carlos Pérez Ampueda, Vice Minister for Risk Management, Miranda Fire Department and Zamora Fire Department, Plaza Civil Protection, Plaza Police, councilors Meryl Fulda, Zulmy Orozco, Carlos Jugo and Miguel Mora and also to the community in full for their solidarity,” said the mayor.
Attention to affected families
Rodriguez reported that the three families affected by the fire will spend the night at the Misiones Base in the sector.
He indicated that together with the head of UBCh, community head, street heads and the Communal Council, three houses will be located for rent, while the houses are rebuilt, after a favorable report from engineers and Plaza Civil Protection.
Additionally, he pointed out that the mayor’s office of Plaza and the Municipal Chamber will take charge of the lost belongings, clothes, shoes, books, supplies and school lists.
“As a faithful reflection of a humane, supportive, responsible and revolutionary government, we fully assume the care of those affected. The teams are already activated to respond shortly, “he said.
