Mexico City, January 20, 2023.- In a clear display of political will on the part of the President of the Republic and the Secretary of Finance, derived from the agreements established by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya with the Trust Established in Relation to Agriculture (FIRA), in coordination with the Director of Financiera Nacional de Desarrollo, formalized this morning the signing of the collaboration agreement that establishes a liquid guarantee mutual fund in the order of 193 million pesos, made up of bipartite resources between FIRA and the State Government, which will act as support for the credits granted by the dispersing intermediaries that make up the network of collaborators of this federal institution.
The work meeting where the signing of the agreement for this unprecedented inter-institutional collaboration scheme was finalized was led by Jaime Montes Salas, Secretary of Agriculture of Sinaloa and Jesús Alan Elizondo Flores, Director General of FIRA, who detailed that this instrument will serve to potentiate financing of the commercial bank up to the order of 3,286 million pesos, aimed at solving the problem that the National Development Fund currently has with the agricultural producers of the State of Sinaloa.
After being informed of the signing, the State Executive celebrated that the agricultural producers already have the definitive certainty of the operation of their credits, whose dispersion will begin no later than a week and a half.
The construction of this liquid guarantee mutual fund in record time was possible thanks to the joint work carried out immediately by the participating institutions after the formal suspension on December 15 of the delivery of credits by Financiera Nacional de Desarrollo, which will allow the first results to be presented in the coming days.
