The National Hurricane Center reported that Hurricane Fiona made landfall at 3:30 a.m. in the Dominican Republic near Boca de Yuma with maximum winds at 90 mph.
The director of the National Meteorology Office, Gloria Ceballos, explained that Fiona would be in our territory for about twelve hours and at the time of leaving, her category is expected to increase to 2.
