From the time he took office, the new director of the Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Asunción, Juan Villalba, announced strict controls to motorists and motorcyclists who circulate in the capital city.
True to his style, he has been in charge of stick to this promise promoting various procedures in recent days, one of the most recent between Saturday night and Sunday morning in the Carmelitas neighborhood.

During these checks, The PMT was in charge of fining several motorists for violations of current ordinances. Among those sanctioned are drivers who parked on the sidewalk or the central walk and also those who they were “caught” driving while intoxicated.

According to the report published by Villalba in his account Twitter, in the period from 01:00 to 06:00 they issued some 16 fine invoices for 64 wageswhich is equivalent to a collection of just over G. 6,200,000.

“The okauva na ha’i gente! (sic) Angry for not wanting to pay the fine for parking wrong“, indicates a tweet from the former director of Mercado 4 that includes videos where the offender is seen reacting in the worst way after being finedunder the threat of “I’m going to throw you out, you don’t know who you’re messing with.”
So too, accused a woman of having insinuated an offer of bribery to prevent her vehicle from going to the municipal corralón. In his case, the fine was equivalent to 7 minimum wages.
