This achievement, according to Findeter directors, was possible thanks to a “rigorous process of measurement, verification and compensation of emissions, carried out under international standards and with the support of Icontec.”

The measurement of gases covers all the entity’s operations and reflects the institutional commitment to climate change mitigation and environmental sustainability, the entity assured.

The president of the bank, Juan Carlos Muñiz Pacheco, explained that since 2010 the entity has been measuring its organizational carbon footprint and compensating through planting projects and purchasing carbon certificates as a good sustainable practice.

President Petro began his last year in office.

“Measuring the carbon footprint means monitoring the environmental impact that we generate as a result of our operation. That is why we record emissions to know how to improve, because it is not just about measuring, it is also about reducing consumption and compensating for the emissions that we cannot avoid,” said the president of Findeter.
