During 2026, all people who have a Time of Service Compensation account (CTS) can withdraw 100% of their funds. According to the rule, this possibility is open until December of that year.
However, according to a rule published by the Executive, there is a group that after that date will have access to said benefit. This is Supreme Decree No. 007-2025-TR that modifies the Regulations of the Compensation for Time of Service Law (CTS) to guarantee the full provision of funds in cases of high medical vulnerability.
In this way, workers diagnosed with a terminal illness or cancer will be allowed to withdraw 100% of their CTS deposit and the accrued interest, at any time.
“The worker with a diagnosis of terminal illness or cancer, duly accredited to the employer in accordance with the provisions of this article, has the right to make at any time the withdrawal of 100% of the total accumulated in his CTS bank account, including the accumulated interest generated. The opportunity for said withdrawal is not subject to conditioning or limitation by the employer or the depository financial entity,” the rule reads.
Accreditation before the employer is carried out with a medical certificate issued by a qualified medical professional, belonging to a public or private health establishment, which states the worker’s health status and which determines whether it constitutes a terminal illness or cancer.
Said certificate must include the name and address of the health establishment, the worker’s details—full name, identification document number and medical record number, if applicable—diagnosis, classification as a terminal illness or cancer, and signature of the medical professional, including his or her full name and registration number.
