The Electoral Justice received at least 28,000 candidacy registrations for the October elections. The campaign started on Tuesday (16).Find out who are the candidates for governor of Bahia

Twelve applications for the presidency and 12 for vice president were received; 223 for governor and vice-governor, 231 for senator, 10,238 for federal deputy, 16,161 for state deputy and 591 for district deputy.

In Bahia, six candidates are running for office. Check full list:

ACM Neto (Union Brazil): born in Salvador, ACM Neto, 43 years old, was mayor of Salvador for eight years, from 2013 to 2020. He has also held the position of federal deputy. He is a lawyer, and the grandson of the former governor of Bahia and senator Antônio Carlos Magalhães (1927-2007). The vice on the ticket will be the entrepreneur Ana Coelho (Republicans), 40 years old.

Giovani Damico (PCB): Master in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Bahia (Ufba), Damico, is 29 years old and is a professor at the state school system. This is the first time he will contest an election for majority office. In 2020 he was a candidate for councilor in Salvador, but was not elected. Lawyer João Coimbra (PCB), 31, will be the candidate for vice.

Jerome (PT): Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza, 57, is a former secretary of education and licensed professor at the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS). Rodrigues has also held the position of national secretary for social development and special advisor to the planning secretariat and rural development secretary. Graduated in agronomic engineering, he was born in Aiquara (BA) and this will be his first contest in an election. Geraldo Júnior (MDB), 53 years old, will be the vice president.

John Rome (PL): 50-year-old former Minister of Citizenship was elected federal deputy in 2018. Graduated in Law, he was also head of the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANP). Leonídia Umbelina (PMB), 55, will be the vice president.

Kleber Rosa (PSOL): is a social scientist and specialist in inclusive education and diversity. He is 48 years old and also holds a master’s degree in youth and adult education (EJA) from the State University of Bahia (Uneb). Rosa is a professor of Sociology at the State Education Network and an investigator for the Civil Police. Director of the Federation of Public Workers of the State of Bahia and founder of the Anti-Fascism Police Movement. This will be his first contest in an election. The runner-up will be Ronaldo Mansur (PSOL), 43 years old.

Marcelo Millet (PCO): the candidate was born in Salvador and is 36 years old. He is a theologian and app driver. The deputy on the ticket is Roque Vieira Júnior, 57, from the same party.
