Find out which formal workers will not pay Income Tax this 2023

Also included in these provisions are those professionals who have the functions of company directors, trustees, agents, business managers, executors or similar and receive income for said functions and also others of the Fourth and/or Fifth Category and that the total amount received in the month does not exceed 2,888 soles.

Superintendency Resolution 295-2022/Sunat established the new amounts, considering the increase in the Tax Unit (UIT), which went from 4,600 soles in 2022 to 4,950 soles for 2023.

Besides, The rule also establishes that those who project that their income during 2023 from Fourth Category Income or from Fourth and Fifth Category Income does not exceed 43,313 soles may request the suspension of withholdings and/or their payments on account of income tax .

In the case of company directors, trustees, agents, business managers, executors or similar, they may request the suspension when the income they plan to receive in the taxable year for Fourth Category Income or Fourth and Fifth Category Income does not exceed the 34,650 soles.

In these last two cases, if during 2023 the aforementioned amount is exceeded, as the case may be, the taxpayer must declare and make the payment on account of the corresponding income tax, for all the Fourth Category income that get in a given month.

How is the virtual procedure carried out?

The process to request the suspension of Fourth Category withholdings is virtual and consists of only three steps:
