Pope Francis referred again to the conflict that has plagued Eastern Europe for more than a year between Russia and Ukraine, asking for peace and light for the countries.
“Help the beloved Ukrainian people on their path to peace, and illuminate the Russian people with the Easter light,” he prayed during the papal blessing this Easter Sunday.
