Government seeks to position cocuy liquor in the international market
The Government certified the cocuy liquor with the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of this product with a view to its export, reported the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.
Rodríguez indicated, in a message on Telegram, that the idea is to be able to export the cocuy liquor to other countries, which he did not detail, to strengthen the income of non-oil currencies into the country.
Furthermore, he said that in this way “the criminal blockade” is being overcome, in relation to the economic sanctions against the country, thanks to the “own production and the effort of all Venezuelans.”
Israeli bombing leaves 11 dead in Gaza, including former police chief
An Israeli overnight attack left at least 11 dead, including the head of the now-disbanded Gaza Strip police, the Palestinian territory’s civil defense agency reported on Thursday, January 2.
“Eleven people were martyred, including three children and two women, and 15 were injured after occupation planes bombed a tent with displaced people in the Al Mawasi area, west of the city of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip,” the civil defense said in a statement.
Among the dead were former police chief Mahmud Salah and his deputy Hussam Shahwan.
