Financiera Bepensa and ABC Leasing launch a new brand: FinBe ABC

Financiera Bepensa (FinBe) and the lessor ABC Leasing, both founded in 2004 and with 18 years of experience; were integrated in March 2020 after the acquisition of a majority of the shares of ABC Leasing, made by Grupo Bepensa.

This group is a Mexican conglomerate that integrates more than 40 companies in 5 business divisions: beverages, automotive, industrial, spirits and financial services; employing more than 14,000 people in Mexico, the US and the Dominican Republic.

Two years after the purchase of ABC Leasing by FinBe, in the first half of 2022 the launch of the unified FinBe ABC brand began and a commercial integration event was held in Mérida, Yucatán; with more than 200 business executives and regional and national directors, experts in financial services.

The event highlighted the strength of the FinBe ABC commercial team and its competitive impact in offering services such as credit and pure leasing of vehicles and productive assets for SMEs; with coverage expanded to 31 cities in 27 states in the country.

They exposed the innovation and digitization of processes that are evolving to enhance the speed in granting loans and leases, flexibility in terms, personalization in attention and payment schemes, as well as continuous improvement in the customer experience .

New opportunities like FinBe ABC

Luis A. Arrieta Rubín, General Director of the Bepensa Financial Services Division, from which the FinBe ABC brand emerges; He reported that in the face of the pandemic, the integration of both companies was virtual during these two years, hence in July 2022 the commercial teams were presented and unified in person.

“FinBe had a very strong presence in the Mexican southeast and ABC Leasing was larger at the national level, especially in automotive agencies; then, combining the two companies in search of a higher profile of service and customer care, we were landing this new brand”.

“The results have been very positive, despite the unstable economic situation worldwide: inflation, COVID, broken supply chains and Ukraine’s war with Russia. In this context, we look for opportunities being cautious, there are companies in this sector that are not having a good time, FinBe ABC is in a good moment and with the support of Grupo Bepensa”.

It is currently the most solid non-bank finance company in Mexico, in the pure vehicle and business credit and leasing market.

Innovative solutions in sight

Carlos González Maynez, Commercial Deputy General Director of FinBe ABC, stressed that one of the main products is business credit in all its forms, for SMEs and large companies.

He said that the most used by clients is the pure leasing of vehicle fleets, although there is also the business part for rent and tax deduction, machinery and industrial equipment.

“We are one of the few non-bank financial entities in Mexico that have a credit product called Floor Plan, very good for agencies and vehicle distribution groups.”

FinBe ABC differentiates itself in the financial sector by being more dynamic and flexible in its terms and conditions of credit approvals and pure leasing; This does not mean that they are more lax, “but the advantage is faster attention and the design of a financial suit tailored to the client, different from traditional banking.”

In the last year, FinBe ABC placed approximately 3,000 million pesos in loans; more than 2,800 million pesos per year in pure leasing and more than 2,500 million pesos in Flat Plan loans for groups of concessionaires. The sum of this in the three segments is around 8,300 million pesos.

The figures speak for themselves and the commercial integration of FinBe ABC represents an event with a positive impact on the financial sector at the national level, providing new and greater options for those seeking real solutions and backed by solid capital.

Advantages and challenges of the automotive industry

Luis Hector Aguilar Mora, Retail Director of FinBe ABC, highlighted that the main product in this sector is car leasing, a product that has been growing year after year due to the deductibility advantages for companies.

It is more convenient to lease a vehicle than to purchase it, because “apart from taking advantage of the deductibility, you get rid of the problems that a vehicle gives you after 3 or 4 years of use.”

“At FinBe ABC we have a passion for the product and we provide personalized, fast attention and the best service that a client can have, since we sell service, not leasing, and that is our greatest advantage against the competition.”

During the first half of 2022, FinBe ABC leased 2,800 units and the goal is to reach at least 6,000 in the remainder of the year.

“We are talking about around 1,700 million pesos in the first semester; this means that we bring units with an average ticket of 500 thousand pesos, we rent from small vehicles to trucks of all kinds”.

For the retail commercial director, the goal is to exceed 3,000 million pesos in placement, although the automotive sector faces great challenges.

“There is a very big challenge for all automotive distributors derived from the lack of units due to the pandemic, we are working hand in hand with them, however, the leasing market continues to grow at the same rate.”

Many businesses, different credit needs

Hugo Orozco, Business Director of FinBe ABC, pointed out that in Mexico and in the world the most important challenge is the lack of money in the market and that banks are limiting loans.

“Supply chains are practically limited by the shortage of products, derived from COVID-19; The products do not arrive from China, which is one of the main exporters.”

He mentioned that there are many companies with different credit needs, unfortunately they do not find viability and that is why in FinBe ABC they structure “all the products so that they can grow, since the country’s growth is provided by companies with financial support from financial institutions.”

Big ideas

Carlos Yañez de la Rosa, Director of Strategic Alliances at FinBe ABC, indicated that in order to provide excellent financial solutions, synergies are made with partners, brands and automotive and machinery groups, both for the retail sale of vehicles on credit or lease, as well as for business credit.

These retail partners, wholesalers and car dealers are mainly offered Floor Plan credit, “a versatile loan that serves to finance the vehicle inventories of our partners in their sales floors, warehouses, etc.”

To provide better service to their customers, they also implement digital transformation through a web platform where they have Floor Plan lines, to provide agile responses and more intuitive experiences.

Currently, the company has alliances with around 50 vehicle brands, including automobiles, trucks and motorcycles.

The future is promising for the company and with a highly positive impact for the industry.
