According to a statement from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining yesterday, Thursday, “the Executive Power decided to keep the price of fuel unchanged, even when the gap between local rates to the public and the reference determined by the Prices of Import Parity (PPI) widened during the last month”.
“The Government will continue to pay attention to the international situation, supporting the competitiveness of Uruguayan companies and avoiding increases for consumers. With an efficient administration, Ancap remains in a controlled financial situation that allows it to benefit the population by maintaining the price of fuel, despite the new increases in the international market”.
