Figure: six out of 10 Uruguayans approve of the government’s security management

55% approve the management of President Luis Lacalle Pouaccording to a new Cifra survey presented this Tuesday in Telemundo (channel 12). The best evaluated area is security, followed by education and economy.

In this sense, 58% of Uruguayans approve of the security management of the government, and 36% disapprove. 6% neither approve nor disapprove, or have no opinion.

The Uruguayans also responded about economy and education. In general terms, 45% approve of the management economical44% disapprove and the remaining 11% neither approve nor disapprove, or have no opinion.

The economy is the area where there are more differences between Uruguayans when consulted by political profile: A large part of those who align with the government coalition support the administration, and a large part of those who voted for the opposition disapprove of the government in terms of economic policies.

On the other hand, 51% approve of the management in education36% disapprove and 13% neither approve nor disapprove, or have no opinion.

The consultation corresponds to February 2022, to landlines and cell phones throughout the country. Responds to a nucleus of 809 interviewees, between February 10 and 17.
