The fiscal agent José Silguero led a raid on a property located in the district of Raúl Peña, south of the Department of Alto Paraná.
In the place, 52 fighting roosters were found, located in cages, in addition to a corral where the fights would take place, with traces of blood and feathers, as well as the existence of two dead roosters next to the place.
Said procedure was carried out in pursuit of an investigation for environmental crimes on the site, and in addition to verifying indications of it (non-compliance with measures to mitigate environmental impact in accordance with Law 716/96), the fact was communicated to the Directorate Protection, Welfare and Animal Health in order to take the relevant precautions, in addition to the criminal prosecution of the owner of the place for the alleged commission of crimes against the environment and animal abuse.
