FIFA Ranking: Panama’s national team ranked 35th in the world

FIFA published its July ranking where the Panama National Team was placed 35th worldwide after its historic participation in the Copa América where it reached the quarterfinals.

Panama added 20.45 points to climb 8 positions in total in the world ranking and is currently third in the Concacaf area, with the United States and Mexico ranked first and second respectively.

Argentina, the new Copa America champion, remains in first place in the ranking, followed by France, while Spain is now in third place, England is now fourth and the Brazilian team dropped to fifth place.

The team that climbed the most positions in the ranking was Venezuela, which rose 17 places to now be in 37th place in the world, and the team that dropped the most positions was the Czech Republic, which dropped 13 places and is now in 47th place.

FIFA announced that it will publish its next ranking by the end of September after the qualifying and friendly matches of the window at the beginning of September have been played.
