According to the announcement, the result of the order of classification and pre-selection will be released on May 6, consisting of a single call and waiting list.

“If pre-selected, the student must attend the Permanent Commission for Supervision and Monitoring (CPSA) of the Higher Education Institution (HEI) on May 7 and 8, at IES hours, to prove the information declared at the time of registration,” said the Ministry of Education (MEC).

Understand

The remaining vacancies of Fies refer to financing opportunities that were not filled during the regular selection steps of the program. They are intended for students who are able to reach the required minimum attendance to complete the first semester of 2025 in the course option, shift and place of offer for which they enrolled.

Also according to the announcement, 50% of the remaining vacancies will be reserved for candidates with family income per person of up to half a minimum wage, registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico), as determined by the rules of the social FIES.

For black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and disabled candidates, vacancies will be reserved in percentage according to the proportion of the population in the federation unit where the educational institution is installed, based on the last census of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

“Pre-selected by the Social FIES may request the contracting of financing of up to 100% of the educational charges charged by the institutions. They will be automatically identified by the FIES selection from the CadÚnico database, provided to MEC by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fighting Hunger,” added the MEC.

Candidates who cumulatively meet the following conditions may apply in the selection process:

  • – Having participated in the National High School Exam (Enem) from the 2010 edition, with a note in the valid exam until the moment prior to the opening of the registrations;
  • – Have obtained arithmetic average of the notes in the five tests equal to or greater than 450 points and note in the writing test greater than zero;
  • – Not having participated in Enem as a coach;
  • – Have per capita gross monthly family income of up to three minimum wages;
  • – must have conditions to reach the minimum frequency required for the semester for the first half of 2025, in the course, shift and place of offer of the higher education institution to enroll.

Vacancies

In 2025, the MEC will offer more than 112 thousand vacancies to FIES. Of these, 67,301 were made available in the first half. The others will be offered in the selection process of the second semester – including those eventually not filled after the end of the remedial vacancies of the first half.
