Fidel Castro is honored with a photographic exhibition at the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry

Diplomats from Cuba and Venezuela inaugurated the photographic exhibition “Fidel, Guerrilla of Time,” in homage to the Cuban leader and icon of the global left on the 98th anniversary of his birth.

The inauguration was presided over by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil; the Secretary General of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreaza; and the Cuban Ambassador in Caracas, Dagoberto Rodríguez Barrera.

Also present were deputy ministers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela, deputies and friends.

The exhibition, made up of 21 images, takes a tour of Fidel’s life: from his childhood on his parents’ farm in Birán, in the former province of Holguín, to his role as helmsman of the Cuban Revolution.

The exhibition will be on display in the Salvador Allende Hall of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry throughout the month of August for the enjoyment of visitors.
