The Residential Rent Variation Index (Ivar) increased by 1.76% in August, accelerating from the 1.05% increase recorded in July. With this, the indicator accumulates a high of 10.41% in 12 months. In the previous month, the accumulated was at 8.65%. The data were released today (6) by the Brazilian Institute of Economics of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV Ibre).
According to the institute, all the cities surveyed had an increase in the rate July for august. The biggest readjustment was verified in Belo Horizonte, with an increase of 3.10%, followed by Porto Alegre, with 2.63%. River of January registered an increase of 1.15% and in São Paulo, rents were 1.04% more expensive in August.
In the annual comparison of the accumulated of 12 months, there was acceleration in the four cities surveyed: São Paulo (from 8.99% to 10.53%), Rio of January (10.41% to 11.34%), Belo Horizonte (9.71% to 12.61%) and Porto Alegre (from 6.31% to 8.32%).
Ivar measures the monthly evolution of residential rental values in the real estate market in Brazil, based on a survey based on the lease agreements of four of the main Brazilian capitals.
