FGR issues three arrest warrants for a mine case "Pinabete" in Coahuila

The authority explained that it is a crime of permanent and malicious action, in the terms indicated in the Federal Penal Code, fundamentally, in its articles 8, 9 and 13.

Continuing with the investigations initiated on August 5, it was proven that two other people incurred criminal responsibility for having illegally allowed mineral coal exploitation activities to be carried out in this mining well, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

“It is reported that the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) obtained from the Judge the three aforementioned arrest warrants, because the probable perpetrators did not attend the corresponding judicial appointment,” the FGR added.

At the time, the governor of Coahuila, Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, blamed a current scheme of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) for the existence of wells such as that of the company “El Pinabete”, since there – he accused – coal as an input for the production of energy, but this affects the risk conditions for the workers of the so-called vertical mines or pocitos, emphasized the FGR.
