Santo Domingo.-Starting this Friday night, the occurrence of downpours local thunderstorms, isolated thunderstorms and possible gusts of wind, in La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor and El Seibo, due to the approach of a trough and a frontal system.
According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), during sunny hours “we will continue to observe a sunny sky with little cloudiness, due to the anticyclonic system.”
However, at the end of the night the downpours will be felt, mainly in the eastern part of the country.

He specified that in the morning and afternoon, rainfall will be moderate at times, with thunderstorms and gusts of wind, in Greater Santo Domingo, Monte Plata, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Noel, La Vega, San José de Ocoa, among others.
While at night, this activity will be generated in Azua, Barahona, Pedernales and Bahoruco, both due to the incidence of the frontal system and the trough in the lower levels of the troposphere.
