The president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira expressed through his networks. He argued that there is an »emergency in economic matters; people bought less because their income did not allow them to buy the same as a year ago».
Later he expressed; “No matter what the president says, citizens are clear that they go to the store and cannot stock up as they did 15 years ago.”
He also stressed that “the model” of the Government led by Lacalle Pou “failed and has no plan for the drop in family income.”
Only a few weeks ago, the highest representative of the Broad Front, expressed through a press conference that the Government “does not want to dialogue” with the opposition, after the leftist political force made several proposals on economic matters.
On that occasion, he also presented his discomfort, in the face of various considerations by members of the National Party, after labeling them as “institutional disloyal.”
