At the moment, García Manoslava is being investigated by the Attorney General’s Office for his alleged responsibility in irregularities that were allegedly committed when signing a contract for the printing of foreign identity cardsThe indictment came on July 3, 2024.

The document stipulated: “The Attorney General’s Office opened a disciplinary investigation against the director of Migration Colombia, Carlos Fernando García Manosalva, and the former general manager (e) of the National Printing Office, Andrés René Chaves Fernández (2023), for alleged irregularities in the contract signed for the printing of foreign identity cards, a job for which resources totaling 6.6 billion pesos were committed“.

The Attorney General’s Office also added: “The supervisory body is investigating an apparent lack of suitability of the National Printing Office to carry out the work, which led to the subcontracting of all the required services, which included the printing of the foreign identity cards, as well as the supplies, the preparation of the card, the personalization and delivery of the final document to Migración Colombia. Likewise, a possible violation of the free competition of bidders is the subject of the disciplinary investigation, since the contract was awarded directly.“.
